We have received information regarding alcohol usage at various City of Burlington sport fields in the past few weeks.
We would like to remind all user groups that alcohol consumption is prohibited at any City facility. The restriction applies to the entire property including the parking lots. Police will be contacted if alcohol consumption is observed.
In permitting space at our facilities, you have entered into an agreement to adhere to the conditions and regulations of the back of the permit, including:
Condition #27: The Permit Holder shall comply with and must ensure that any person attending its activity complies with: (a) federal and provincial laws and regulations; (b) municipal by-laws, policies and procedures.
We are in the process of conducting blitzes - offending organizations, teams or individuals will be addressed through the City of Burlington’s Zero Tolerance Policy, which could result in permits being cancelled. Please reinforce with your teams our policies.
